Picture dictionary
Hello my dear readers!
Today I have done a very special work, I have never done something similar. It is a picture dictionary for children and in this case it is about fruits. The objective of this book is to make something for children so they can learn the names of the fruits in English very easily.
Doing this is quite easy, I have used the application "Calamèo" and it is very simple to use. The first thing that you have to do, is to decide the topic that you will chose, as I said before, I chose "fruits". Then you create a powerpoint in Drive and there you create the pages that will complete your book. I recommend you to put some attractive image in the first page because it will be the cover of the book and also another for the last page. Apart from that in the penultimate page you have to include the Attributes page, this is a avery important part of the project due to the fact that you will use images that are not public at all and probably you will have to put the name of the author of the photo ( I will include a table where you can see the criteria of attributions). When you do this the only thing that you have to do is to download the powerpoint in a PDF format and get in to Calameo, clic in "Publicar" and you will find the option of "Seleccionar un archivo desde mi ordenador" and you upload the PDF that you have download. Automatically the app will create the book.

Recomendations for Christmas
Hello my dear readers!
Christmas is around the corner so today I will recommend you some books, films and games that can entertain you this holidays. I have to admit that I don't play lot of games at the mobile, but there is one that when I start playing I can't stop. Also is true that my favorite books are the ones that speaks about police and those that are very mysterious, on the other hand referring to the films, the ones that I like are those that that makes you cry, they can be drama, love stories and so on.
Book: "El guardian invisible"
This book was written by Dolores Redondo. It talks about a very strange case of a girl who appeared dead in the forest of Baztan, the town where the inspector of the case, Amaia Salazar was born. This book tell as a story that blend reality and with Basque mythology, if you like crime stories and with many scary stories I'm sure that you would love it.
Film: "Un monstruo viene a verme"
This film have been published just some months ago, but it becomes very famous, so most of you must heard something about it before. "Un monstruo viene a verme" was directed by Juan Antonio Bayona, it talks about the story of a child who has a mother with cancer, and of the hard life that the child has, since she tends to take care of things that a child his age should not. This brings some physiological problems to the boy in his dreams. The story of the film is very hard, due to the fact that it speaks a lot about.
Game: "Preguntados"
These game as the same name tell as consist on answering some questions about lot of different topics such as history, geography, art, sport, sciences... It is very entertaining because you can compete with lot of people that can be one friend or also someone that you don't know, apart from that also you can compete in big groups. The main objective of the game is to answer the most questions as you can correctly. Also you can create questions and add them to the game. I like these game because you learn lot of new things that can be very interesting and useful, but at the same time you have fun. The game is available for all types of mobiles and you can find it in twenty different languages.

SAY NO TO THE VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN

These time I have decided to make you a leaflet speaking about gender violence, and giving you some information about thes topic.
The last 25th of November has been the international day against the violence against women, and taking this into account I thought that it could be interesting to do this work. My objective is to make you think about this situation and to be conscious about that big problem that affects all of us.

Jody Williams
Hello my dear readers!
Today I have decided to write you about a very important women, she is cold Jody Williams and she is a political activist, but she is known because she was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1997 for her work toward the banning and clearing of anti-personnel mines.
Jody was born in October 9, 1950 as I said before she is an American political activist known around the world for her work in banning anti-personnel landmines, her defense of human rights, and her efforts to promote new understandings of security in today's world.
The Nobel Prize that she get was in representation of the International Campaign to Ban Landmines (ICBL) she was served as the founding coordinator of these campaign from early 1992 until February 1998. The people of the campaign including Jody Williams says that these group is “A global network in some 100 countries that works for a world free of antipersonnel landmines, where landmine survivors can lead fulfilling lives”. The main objective of these campaign is to seek to prevent all use, production, and trade of these anti-personnel landmines, and to ensure stockpiles are destroyed. They denounce any use of these indiscriminate weapons, and mobilize others to do so to further stigmatize them. They call for accelerated clearance of all landmines and other explosive remnants of war; and they want to see the fulfillment of victims’ rights and needs. They say that the best way to reach these goals is to ensure the universal adherence to, and implementation of, the 1997 Mine Ban Treaty.
Prior to that work, she spent eleven years on various projects related to the wars in Nicaragua and El Salvador, where, according to the Encyclopedia of Human Rights, she "spent the 1980s performing life-threatening human rights work.
So we can say that these women has brought many advances to society thanks to her hard work, and I think that she is a great example to follow due to she has always defended human rights.

Reflections on Instagram / Facebook /Twitter
Hello my dear readers!
Today I'm going to speak and reflect about social sites.
In my opinion, social sites are a big advance for the society, and I consider that they are very useful. Nowadays most of the people use them very frequently, so we can say that they are very integrated in our lives. In my opinion, they have lot of positive points but it is true that, like most of things, they have some negative aspects that we usually don't take into account as much as we should. So I will give you my opinion about the positives and negative things about the social nets like Instagram, Snapchat, Facebook, Twitter, Whatsapp...
Referring to the advantages I think that a very important point is that it is easier to keep in touch with the people even if they are in another country. Also it is very easy to share videos, photographs, documents... and you do it for free, due to the fact that you don't have to pay to use these applications. Besides all the information that you share is shared in real- time so you don't have to wait days or weeks to receive a message like when you use traditional letters. Moreover these pages are very useful for business, because it is a very easy and effective way to advertise products.
On the other hand, concerning the disadvantages I have to admit that there are things that really worry me like cyberbullying, or that people can use your identity, photos or access to your personal information without your permission. Also it can decrease face-to-face communication skills, because, you can communicate with people chatting, and last but not least, it is true that it causes distractions when you are studying or working.
So to conclude, taking into account all the things that I have said before, it is true that social sites like Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat... have lot of positive and helpful things and they are a very big advance for the society, but also we have to be careful and responsible when using them and make a correct use of them, otherwise it can bring a lot of problems and negative consequences.

Cultural differences in the world

This time I have decided to write about cultural differences in the world.
In the future I would like to travel around the world and know lot a of different cultures, differnt people...
In my opinion to have lots of different cultures in the world is a very good thing, and to have the opportunity to know some of them is a privilege.
I think that the culture is different in all the places, and this depends on the tradition, the clothes, the food, the type of living... all these things change a lot depending where you live but I consider that nowadays the culture of lot a of places has changed and the way of living in lot of places is very similar. This could be because of the globalization and because the countries are more connected than 100 years ago.
But nowadays we continue finding lot of different 6 cultures, for example: the islamic culture, which generally includes all the practices which have developed around the religion of Islam, including Qur'anic ones such as prayer (salat) and non-Qur'anic such as divisions of the world in Islam. It includes the Baul tradition of Bengal, and has facilitated the peaceful conversion of most of Bengal. There are variations in the application of Islamic beliefs in different cultures and traditions.There are also the African cultures that consist of a mixture of tribes each of which has their own unique characteristics. It is a product of the diverse populations that today inhabit the continent of Africa and the African Diaspora.
Or the Eastern cultures that refer very broadly to the various cultures or social structures and philosophical systems, depending on the context, most often including at least part of Asia or geographically the countries and cultures in the east of Europe, north of Oceania... I think that these cultures are very different, due to the fact that, the religion is very different the mindset on the society... Also we can find big differences in
their clothes or in the way that they live.
But I think that the most important thing that we all should do is to respect all the cultures and mindsets, no matter if we agree or no.
